We are Janine & John, parents to two adventurous and imaginative little boys who have our whole heart.
Our oldest son Kieran changed our world in every way when he came in to our lives 7 years ago. From the time he could walk, he always loved dressing up and going on make-believe adventures. When he was just 3 years old, he dressed up as a pirate every single day, for an entire year! He led us on treasure hunts and we balanced on planks. We enjoyed everything about his adventures and every day, he reminded us about how good it felt to just simply play.
Kellan, our youngest at 4, has his own unique personality and has always been more reserved than his big brother. Interacting and making connections with other kids has been a little bit of a challenge for him. Through his eyes, we learned that language isn't always verbal and that it can come in many different forms. We learned that pretend play is a universal language that everyone can understand and relate to, and Kellan is a perfect example of this. Through imaginative play, Kellan is now able to make deeper connections and relate on a more personal level with other children. He dreams of becoming a firefighter one day, with an ice cream truck business on the side! We love and support him all the way.
Our boys are our inspiration and our motivation. 7 years ago, we opened Little Leaders Family Daycare because we wanted to give our kids a fun environment to learn in. As our kids got older and our daycare larger, it became even more clear to us how powerful and impactful play can be, with just a little guidance from us. At Little Leaders, we made it our goal to share our knowledge and experience with other families and provide them with a safe space where their children can learn through play. At Imagination City, our goal remains exactly the same. We built Imagination City with each unique child in mind. A place where they can let their imagination run freely. A place where families can create memories with their children and see the world through their eyes.
